About CAPITA Insurance Brokers Inc.
- Originally incorporated in May 1984 under another name (Caribbean Commercial Trust Company).
- It was re-branded as Capita Financial Services Inc. in September 2010 after acquisition by BPWCCUL.
- As part of BPWCCUL’s group of companies, Capita is one of the entities within their financial holdings.
- The principal activity of the Company is the provision of insurance brokerage services. The Company is registered as a composite insurance broker under the Insurance Act, Cap 310.
CAPITA Insurance Brokers Inc (“CIB”) was incorporated under the Companies Act of Barbados on September 11, 2014 and is registered as a composite insurance broker under the Insurance Act, Cap 310. The principal activity of the Company is the provision of insurance brokerage services. Since our inception, CIB has been at the forefront of delivering insurance brokerage solutions that not only promise security but also foster progress and prosperity for all our clients, whether individual or corporate.

The Company’s principal place of business is at 2nd Floor, Patrick E. Mc Donald Building, Upper Collymore Rock, St. Michael. It is regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Barbados.

Capita Insurance Brokers Inc. (the Company), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capita Financial Services Inc, whose ultimate parent is Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union Limited (BPWCCUL), a company incorporated in Barbados. BPWCCUL is the largest credit union operating in Barbados.
CIB has grown to become one of the largest independent insurance brokerage firm operating only in Barbados.
