Capita is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BPW Financial Holdings Inc. whose ultimate parent is the Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union Limited (BPWCCUL). BPWCCUL is the largest credit union operating in Barbados with over two (2) billion in assets.
Capita is licensed to operate in both Barbados and St. Lucia. In Barbados, the entity is regulated by the Central Bank of Barbados, the Financial Services Commission of Barbados and is a member of the Barbados Deposit Insurance Corporation. While in St. Lucia, the entity is regulated by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority.
The company operates from is headquarters on the 2nd Floor of the Co-operators General Insurance Building, Upper Collymore Rock, St. Michael, and maintains a regional presence with a Branch in St. Lucia, which is located at Unit # 101, Johnson Centre Building, Bella Rosa, Gros Islet.

In 2022, the entity became a MasterCard Principal Member, and has become a sponsor for two (2) of the largest credit unions operating in Barbados supporting their card issuing and acquiring business.
In addition, CAPITA is an Authorized Foreign Exchange Dealer, approved by the Central Bank of Barbados, where it specializes in the buying and selling of foreign currency, offering, very competitive conversion rates.
In July 2024, the entity executed the Financial Agency Agreement with the Central Bank of Barbados, whereby it is able to accept application forms and payment from individuals and businesses who are interested in purchasing treasury bills, savings bonds, BOSS Bonds and any other government issued fixed income security that is offered by the Central Bank of Barbados.
St. Lucia
Operating since 2010, our goal is to meet the financial needs of those we serve by providing a suite of financial products and services that cater to the needs of consumers, small businesses and corporate clients both in St. Lucia and across the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union.
